As this lung disease progresses, patients with COPD often require a prescription for supplemental oxygen to help maintain their lung health. However, living a normal & active life can be challenging for oxygen users. One of the challenges in this project is to combine hard goods and soft goods to ensure the users have optimal freedom and comfort using the device.

The shoulder bag we developed is ideal for shorter trips. It allows for taking the bag on and off easily, and the open top allows quick access to the UI.  The bag is constructed from modern form hugging neoprene with a neutral color scheme.

The backpack allows users to have both hands free for dynamic activities like traveling, gardening/yard work and better distribution of weight for longer use. It has the proportions, materials and details that are reminiscent of active lifestyle backpacks to minimizing the stigma people feel when using oxygen in public and encouraging people to continue living their lives while getting the therapy they need.

Both the device and carrying cases were launched in the North America in 2015, following by Europe and Asia.
