Tervis Baby Sippy Cup Packaging

Some of the attributes the client was looking for are:

  •  emphasize the premium value of the product
  •  appear gift-able
  •  showcase the sippy cup
  •  peg and stand on shelf
  •  allow consumers to interact with spout and handles on shelf
  •  discourage pilferage and tampering

The Objective of the project is to develop an own-able, premium structural package for Tervis' newly developed baby sippy cup, that is appealing to both mom and child, and will engage consumers at the point of sale.

Showcasing here are two concepts taken from ideation, paper mockup, 3d rendering to dieline creation and graphics implementation.

The idea for the first concept is to use SBS cardstock to wrap around the sippy cup. The use of both hard and soft lines speak to both mom and child. The unique part line offers opportunity for own-able graphics that will stand out from category competitors. It also maximizes potential graphic area while displaying the sippy cup to consumers.

The thought behind the second concept is to showcase the sippy cup while keeping the cup protected. The corner chamfer provides ideal real estate for graphic communication and branding, also unifies the family of sippy cup packaging, creating an ownable, bold look on shelf. The interior base allows for a “pop” color that exhibits Tervis’ playful brand message. Window cutout allows the consumer to touch the material on product.
